Winchendon- Clifton C. Valarose, 73, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 after a period of declining health.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christina A. (Lozier) Valarose; a son, Clifton “Skip” Valarose Jr. of CT; 3 grandchildren, Hunter, Sydney and Paul; a sister, Sandy Valarose, and her husband Ed Lapierre of Rhode Island, as well as several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Born in Whitinsville on November 20, 1952, he was the son of Charles and Eva (Morrissette) Valarose. He was raised in Uxbridge and was educated in the Uxbridge public school system.
Cliff began his career as a union carpenter, working locally for many years before transitioning to a role as a Health and Safety Instructor with the International Training Center for Carpenters headquartered in Las Vegas. He took great pride in his work, which allowed him to travel extensively across the country, sharing his knowledge and passion with others. Cliff dedicated more than 20 years to this position, during which time he resided in Uxbridge, Bellingham, Las Vegas, and then PA.
In his early years, Cliff enjoyed growing up at the ocean with his family. Also an avid outdoorsman, Cliff found joy in gardening and planting. He created the Blackstone Valley River Water Organization, and the first—and last—annual “Can You Canoe” canoe race on the Blackstone River. He was a member of the Solomon’s Temple Lodge of Masons in Uxbridge where Cliff proudly maintained his membership since 1982.
For the past six years, Cliff made his home in Winchendon.
